We enjoy getting creative to help a guest experience the type of day on the water they are looking for. Today we were tasked with a request to fish for trout, from a drift boat, in a place where we wouldn't see any other anglers. This immediately eliminated the mountain streams, because those require wading; it also removed floating the tailwaters, because there's always other anglers present. So we floated a section of river that has been on our "back-burner" for awhile, but had never yet fished. The water was skinny with a few shallow riffles we had to portage around, and a light drizzle all day meant the raincoats stayed on, but the grey sky helped hide us from the fish in this clear water, and we saw more trout than other anglers.
