Join us on this unique adventure of a lifetime! We begin the voyage at a designated trailhead along the Virginia Creeper Trail in Mountain Rogers National Recreation Area of Southwest Virginia in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Each client will have a mountain bike set up to their height and weight. Your guide will be on a bike that pulls the gear trailer. The biking portion is all downhill on moderate grade and fairly smooth trail. We will spend day one biking short distances between "honey holes" where we stop to fish for wild rainbow, brown and brook trout. Around early evening we will pull in to our streamside campsite. Our selection of places to camp along this trail are all picturesque and range from small private islands, to being surrounded by boulders the size of tiny houses, to being tucked away in the lush forest beside the sounds of a riffle. Your guide will set up camp and prepare dinner over a fire and/or small gas stove. Each client will have their own one-person tent (larger tents available for couples), plus lamp and bedding appropriate for the season. Dinners are selected in advance based on your taste requests. The evening can be spent relaxing in a camp chair beside the fire, playing cards, reading, or casting flies to the rising trout. The next morning your guide will prepare breakfast and break camp while you breath in the fresh mountain air. Day two is spent again by taking short bike rides between "honey holes" where we stop and fish as we bike our way to the take-out. Total trail distance ranges from 7-12 miles.
